Geylang Methodist Pri, Dunman High, Temasek JC, NTU (Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information). 我目前在NTU Rajaratnam School of International Studies念 Master in Science(International Relations)

sorry it is chomped

We “chomp” lunch table with our tissue papers.

We ”chomp” seats with our notepads.

We even try to ”chomp” public carpark lots.

I think you are entitled to reserve a space for your vehicle outside your private property but this is a HDB carpark.

Forbidden Chestnuts

Picture from stages

It was a night filled with laughter watching Forbidden Chestnuts. It spoofed everything from local theatre to movies to politics and poked fun at everyone from Zoe’s husband to Kit Chan to Fei Xiang.

My personal favourites are parodies of the play “Thunderstorm” by Toy Factory and “Death Note + I Not Stupid = Quite Stupid”. For “Thunderstorm”, the tone of the actor’s and actress’ enunciation and the twist to stomp got me laughing non stop. And “Death Note dripped with Singaporean flavour” nearly got me to tears.

Wicked but hilarious evening…

NKF courtroom saga - EXTRA

I covered the 1st 2 days of the NKF civil suit. The lawyers representing new NKF presented their opening statement for the 1st 2 days & Durai conceded unexpectedly on the 3rd day.

The hearings were held at court 4B at the Supreme Court. The courtroom was filled with people and documents.

50% - lawyers

30% - journalists

10% - defendents

10% - public

There were several big shelves brought in for the massive amount of documents. In addition, there were boxes of documents on the floor. NKF lawyer K Shanmugam had to guide the Judical Commissioner on the volume which contained the evidence and it went to pages with 4 digits.

As the courtroom had limited seats in the media gallery for the large number of journalists, it was interesting to see how other reporters ”chomped” seats. They put NOTEBOOKS on the seats. (Familiar with our culture of chomping lunch places with tissue packs?) The rest of us would then sit with the public behind. Even the lawyers teased us about this.
